Where it is and getting around
Entrada sits off Snow Canyon Parkway on the northwest edge of St. George, right against Snow Canyon State Park, where St. George meets Ivins and Santa Clara. The main community is guard-gated and built around the private Entrada at Snow Canyon Country Club, a Johnny Miller signature course that opened in 1996, with holes routed through a lava flow. A few neighborhoods marketed under the Entrada name (The Cliffs, The Reserve, Lava Falls, Lava Cove, and Sand Point) sit outside the main gates on the Ivins and Santa Clara sides.

Homes you’ll find
Entrada has been building since the late 1990s, mostly custom and semi-custom homes. Home types include villas and casitas, patio homes (some with private water features), and large custom estates on the hillsides. A design code keeps homes low and earth-toned with unfenced yards, so the lava and sandstone run between properties. Neighborhood names you’ll see in listings include Kachina Springs, Kachina Cliffs, Chaco Bench, Anasazi Ridge, Shinava Ridge, La Casa, The Escapes, and The Vistas.
Recent sales have run from above the citywide median to the very top of the St. George market, depending on the neighborhood, view, and lot. For reference, the citywide single-family median sale price was $563,500 in September 2026 (see the full report).
Parks, trails, and amenities
- Snow Canyon State Park: Navajo sandstone, petrified dunes, lava tubes, and miles of trails right at the community’s edge.
- The club: golf, dining, fitness, and spa through membership. Golf is its own membership level, so buying a home doesn’t automatically include it.
- Tuacahn Amphitheatre: outdoor theater under the red cliffs in nearby Ivins.
Short-term rental note
Within Entrada, the city’s approved list names only Shinava Ridge (units 24–39 only) and The Inn @ Entrada. Other Entrada homes inside St. George fall under the standard rules. The Entrada-branded areas in Ivins and Santa Clara follow those cities’ rules, so check with the right city.
St. George allows nightly (short-term) rentals only in commercial zones, in developments named on the city’s approved short-term rental list, or on a single-family lot of two acres or more that fronts a major collector or arterial street and sits at least 500 feet from another short-term rental. Every short-term rental also needs a city business license. Always confirm a specific parcel with the city before buying with rental income in mind. See the full short-term rental guide →
Before you buy here
- Know whether a listing is inside or outside the main gates, and which city it’s in.
- Ask about HOA dues, design-review rules, and club membership costs and levels.
- Check school assignments for the exact address. They can differ across the St. George, Ivins, and Santa Clara sides.
